Locating Rebar And Conduits At Universal Studios

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. (GPRS) has worked at Universal Studios for several weeks now in order to locate rebar and conduit in suspended slabs. The client needed to anchor bolts and core several penetrations through the slab and GPRS has been able to provide the exact location of all rebar and conduit that may be in the client’s path. Without knowing what exists in the slab prior to coring and saw cutting the client would have spent exponentially more money on repairs than simply hiring GPRS to locate everything in the slab ahead of time. The client has been able to avoid all obstructions which has allowed the entire project to continue running smoothly. Often times it is critical to avoid hitting all concrete reinforcement including rebar for structural reasons, as was the case in this project. GPRS has worked with many clients to locate all concrete reinforcement and conduit.
